that Feeling when

bed is a garden in Spain
the way you revel in rest
to no clear end except an
eviction warning for late
rent gets you up moving
sensing the caustic slurry
eating mucus coating in
your chest pain sloshes
brain neglects noticing
unwashed face flaking
unbrushed teeth sting
with an ice chip lunch
apartment patio isn’t
high enough to crack
a neck in two speak in
third person to strip a
lost cause of humanity
feel something awful
salivate forget a smile
middle finger friends
more incorrect meds
only feel better dead
rack up debt like it’s
pretend as collectors
seek revenge commit
to defeat stage fright
pop an Ativan and
flail so they think
you’re fighting
